Muraflo pre-tiled shower trays must be handled with care to prevent damage to their mosaic and tile surfaces. The installer will unpack and inspect the tray, separate the template and drain components, and cover the tray until it is safely installed.

Test-fitting the Muraflo template enables the installer to: verify that the tray will fit correctly within the framing; verify that the drainpipe’s location is correct; practice correct handling of the tray. If any discrepancies in framing, subfloor, or drain location are discovered, they must be corrected before proceeding.

After successfully completing the rough-in preparation, unpacking and inspecting, and test-fitting the template, the installer can proceed with installation of the Muraflo shower tray, following the steps as shown in the film. It is strongly recommended that tray installation be carried out by a licensed contractor or equally qualified professional.

After the Muraflo shower tray has been installed, a licensed plumber will connect the drain to the drainpipe. The drain is a top-connect, no-caulk drain. Do NOT use caulk or silicone during drain connection. Once drain connection is complete, the walls can be tiled via conventional means, following best practices for waterproofing around preformed / prefabricated pans.
